Elke Fajut.
I come from a background of determined hearts from the islands of The Philippines, built from stories of resilience. Naturally, exclusion was a common feeling once I had immigrated to the states. I have always been surrounded by differences, but this major life transition was only the beginning of the journey I would embark in finding my own identity.
I am simply surrounded by people of varied genders, sexualities, ethnicities, ages, origins, and experiences. The perspective that I have on this observation has always been that of a privilege.
Our differences make up the basic foundation of progress and growth, and I wanted this to be portrayed in all of my projects in a raw form.
